Testimonials
Preparing a post secondary career and education plan can be daunting for both students and their families. Read below for comments from some of our previous participants.
"As high school came closer to ending, I watched as it caused stress and anxiety for my daughters. Connie was nothing but spectacular with them. She helped weigh through their interests and strengths until they had careers and programs narrowed down. She was great at providing access to professionals in the areas they were considering, in the form of informational interviews. She worked hard to narrow down potential schools and specific programs in each school. This is such a huge decision for our children and Connie does such a fantastic job at making the process so much easier. I’d highly recommend her services."

"Determining a career pathway, and deciding what University to attend to best achieve that pathway, is an incredibly stressful time in everyone's lives. The move from Highschool to University happens incredibly fast, and you are expected to have your entire career path planned out. At least, that is how I felt. Connie and her career coaching expertise have been an absolutely invaluable experience, and I would not be where I am today without it. The resources she provided, and the advice she offered, made my decision for which University to attend an obvious decision. From attending Queen’s Universities’ Smith School of Business, working for the City of Kingston as a Financial Analyst, and working for Novacap as a Private Equity Analyst in Summer 2023, I cannot thank her enough for her guidance to me in Highschool."

"The change from Highschool to University can be quite daunting and intimidating. As I was concluding my final years of Highschool I was no stranger to this feeling. In grade 12, I felt pressured to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. This program helped me to understand that the first priority at this stage of the game is identifying a post-secondary path that develops my various areas of interest, which for me is technology and business. This program keeps career clusters, identified through the program, open to me as options when I graduate. Through this program I discovered Waterloo’s Global Business and Digital Arts program which is an excellent path into digital marketing, social media management, software sales, and UX/Digital design entrepreneurship which are all career options of interest to me. This program really helped to illuminate what I was actually interested in, and I would recommend it to anyone feeling lost or overwhelmed when it comes to choosing the program best fit for them!"

"The Grade Eleven year was a challenging one for my daughter. She had ideas for possible career paths yet found the idea of delving into various programs and course selections daunting. Connie offered a Career Counseling program tailored for my daughter that encouraged her to be fully engaged in the process. Connie spent hours having conversations with her on strengths, interests and life goals. There were zoom meetings, phone conversations and emails that encouraged my daughter to feel empowered. Connie created spreadsheets, researched various career programs that would be a good fit for my daughter. She and my daughter contacted universities and spoke with faculty regarding course loads and various scenarios that would ensure she had numerous options available. Together they created possible course selections for her Grade Twelve year. This final year of schooling has my daughter feeling more confident in setting life goals and taking a proactive role in attaining them.
Connie’s professional yet compassionate interactions with my daughter instilled a confidence in her. I am grateful to have had Connie guide and assist her with the resources and self determination needed to choose a career path that is a perfect fit."

"Connie’s career coaching business is an eye-opening process that allowed me to understand how I can incorporate my passions into a career. Her program enlightened me regarding the greater opportunities of post-secondary options and employment pathways. Post-secondary panic is a relatable feeling due to the overwhelming number of options and pathways, and I know that I felt this way too. Connie’s career coaching system guided me, by helping to prepare me for the world outside of high school and my hometown, while opening my eyes to the greater world of opportunities. Her process takes a very thoughtful approach to career coaching by deeply considering one’s passions, plans and strengths in order to guide them in an effective manner. Moreover, Connie furthers her research in order to benefit her clients, as she is always keeping her eyes open for relatable content that will help her target audience."

"We want to set our kids up for success, yet life is busy and it’s hard to be an expert in all things; insert the career counselling expertise, experience and dedication from Connie, and now our son has more personalized and defined goals that match his abilities and aspirations, as well as supported, structured steps to reach those goals.
I have been privileged to know Connie for over 10 years, during which time, she has consistently been a positive influence and has earned my absolute trust.
I always marvel at her masterful organizational skills, attention to detail, savvy and sophisticated intellect, and exceptional compassion.
Words can't express my gratitude for the time and expertise that she has given in supporting my son's future career development and happiness.
She has given us more peace of mind, and enhanced my son’s academic efforts and determination toward achieving a bright future.
We will be looking to her for assistance in guiding our other two children in the near future."

"I began working with Connie in my grade nine year, as the stress of the unknown became an overwhelming fear. With the upcoming decisions for next year's classes and eventually my career I had no idea what to do, from looking at being a therapist to marine biology, we covered it all. There will always be a fear in the future, but with Connie’s help I have found peace in the unknown. In September I will be entering my first year at the University of Waterloo for their honours arts and business program with co-op. Connie was able to combine my interest in business and the arts to find a program best suited for me, well giving me experience and keeping my opinions open after graduation. Connie’s guidance and support allowed me to determine my post secondary pathway, and I thank her for all her years of help."
- Victoria, University of Waterloo
"Connie has been absolutely instrumental in my son's transition from high school to university. With no prior experience navigating this process, I leaned heavily on her expertise and guidance. From providing a tailored assessment of my son's abilities to assisting with university visitations, Connie created a clear path for his success. I would have been lost without her, and for that, I am forever grateful."

Our son experienced some huge personal growth during his second-last year of high school, and had completely switched his intended postsecondary pathway, but with the change in ideas, he really didn't know what he wanted to do; rather, he had a strong idea as to the general area of study that he wanted to pursue. When I happened upon Connie, the deadline for applications was looming; within a 75-min. conversation with her myself, she zoomed in on Daniel's more defining traits, abilities, and interests, as well as the programs and institutions that would best suit and support him. She was able to help him to recognize the same, and he now seems to be on a path that suits him. Thanks, Connie -five stars! :o)
